[/caption]So, one of my friends has a bike I can borrow. Hopefully I can pick it up tonight and see if it is rideable. I have been wanting to see how I like riding a bike now - so it's a great opportunity to try it, before buying one with taxes this spring. If I find I do, then I am thinking of trying to do the Pan-Mass Challenge in 2013 with Darryl, a family member of mine that has done it for the last two years. (mind you - by do the pmc with him - I mean he will finish WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY ahead of me, and we can talk about it then...) It also has the added bonus of getting Yankees fans at work to contribute to something sponsored by the Red Sox.
As far as my calf is concerned - it seems to me that the cramped up part (probably a pull..) is loosening up (or hurting less,) but my entire left leg is now tight - from my hamstring down to my Achilles tendon. I am stretching to see if that will help. I am going to try to keep a good stretching routine going as I am starting to think that my complete lack of flexibility (for example, I haven't been able to touch my toes with straight legs since my age was in single digits) has got to be a major contributor to my ongoing issues with muscles/tendons.
In an effort to not be completely lazy, I have done some push-ups this morning (I still hate those), and some sit-ups (not fond of these either.) I may try to get over to the gym tonight and do some lifting and/or take the kids over to the YMCA (which is the same place I lift) and do some swimming.
Or maybe I will go home and just sit around and whine to my wife about how its a gorgeous day for running..
